Student Differentiation

Differentiation is catered for in a variety of ways throughout the short course. In the NOTES within each lesson, you will find step-by-step instructions to guide you in giving students support or prompts where necessary.

Across the Money Matters course, the activities/worksheets take the mixed literacy abilities of Junior Cycle students into account and to limit the amount of writing required by students.

The range of methodologies utilised throughout the short course have been planned with the different types of learners in mind, i.e. VAK / 8 MIs.

The worksheets can be completed by individual students but more often are completed in pairs or small groups providing the opportunity for peer learning.

You should draw on your own knowledge of the learning needs of your student groups to plan any auxiliary lesson activities or to choose appropriate project activities.
